We are officially changing our name to Donatelli Coules McGinnis & Schroeder, Ltd. (DCMS Law).

This change comes as we proudly welcome two exceptional partners, Patrick C. McGinnis and R. Matthew Schroeder, to our shareholder group. Their extensive experience, proven track records, and shared commitment to client success make them invaluable additions, and we are excited to incorporate their names into our firm's identity.

Meet Our Newest Partners:

• Patrick C. McGinnis: Patrick’s practice includes counseling privately-held businesses on matters that include entity formation, governance, mergers and acquisitions, business reorganizations, and day-to-day business issues. In so doing, Patrick regularly drafts and negotiates shareholder agreements, bylaws, operating agreements, employment agreements, service agreements, independent contractor agreements, promissory notes, licensing agreements, and confidentiality agreements. Patrick also has extensive experience in purchase and sale transactions for residential and commercial real estate, includes drafting and negotiating transaction documents such as purchase and sale agreements, lease agreements, and financing documents, and coordinating 1031 exchanges. Patrick also handles zoning, probate, and estate planning matters.

• R. Matthew Schroeder: Matt’s practice centers around counseling individuals and families on wealth transfer and estate planning; federal estate, gift and generation-skipping tax planning; estate and trust administration; and business succession planning. Matt often utilizes revocable living trusts, intentionally defective grantor trusts, and irrevocable life insurance trusts as estate planning tools that promote wealth preservation and asset protection. Matt also helps families achieve their goals by creating family limited liability companies, implementing succession planning, and providing operation advice that relates to those companies.
